Jan. 7: Lady ’Cats fall to Paint Valley

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost a non-conference home game by a 76-22 score. In the game, Cylee Bratton led WHS with 13 points, as she made four two-point baskets and was 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Also for WHS, Hailey Monteith totaled three points, and with two points each were Kara Ward, Liz Edwards and Emily Holladay.

WHS totaled six two-point baskets, one 3-pointer and were 7-of-9 from the free-throw line.

Whiteoak scored four points in the first frame, followed with a six-point second quarter. In the second half, they scored three points in the third and nine points in the final frame.

Jan 10: WHS lose on road at Eastern

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost a road conference game on Jan. 10 to the Eastern Lady Warriors, 64-11. In the game, WHS scored six points in the second and five points in the fourth.

Leading WHS in scoring was Cylee Bratton with six points (two 3-pointers). She was followed by Kayla Jones with three points off a shot from beyond the arc and Emily Holladay with two points.

Jan. 14: WHS drops home game to Portsmouth Clay

On Jan. 14 at WHS, the Lady Wildcats lost by a 63-26 score to the visiting Portsmouth Clay Lady Panthers in non-conference action.

WHS scored four points in the first, followed with a 10 -point second frame. In the third, the Lady ‘Cats scored six points, and in the fourth they finished with eight points.

Kara Ward and Cylee Bratton each led WHS with 10 points, followed by Kayla Jones with six points.

Jan. 17: Lady Wildcats lose to host Peebles in SHAC contest

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats dropped a road SHAC game to Peebles on Jan. 17 by a score of 85-13.

WHS was led on the scoreboard by Cylee Bratton with seven points (one 3-pointer), followed by Kara Ward, Liz Edwards and Emily Holladay each with two points.

Quarter scoring for WHS included five points in the first, followed by two points in the second, two points in the third and four points in the fourth.

Jan. 21: WHS loses to Northwest

In a game played on Jan. 21 the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost to the host Northwest Lady Mohawks, 66-17 in a non-conference game.

WHS was led in scoring by Cylee Bratton with 14 points as she made five two-point buckets and four free throws. Also scoring points was Hailey Monteith with three points as she sank a 3-pointer.

The quarter scoring for WHS included seven points in the first and four points in the second. The third frame saw WHS score six points to complete their scoring for the game.
