Members of Hillsboro High School and Fairfield High School participated in the 2018 OATCCC Indoor State Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva this past weekend where the athletes competed in a variety of events.

Hillsboro senior Austin Goolsby competed in two events, finishing with a second-place spot in the pole vault event with a height of 15-00.00, and in the boys long jump Div. II-II event, Goolsby placed fourth with a jump of 21-04.00

In the girls triple jump event for Div. II-III, Fairfield sophomore Ailean Duffie was 17th at 28-11.25.

The boys 3200M run for Div. II-II saw Fairfield senior Matthew Mangus finish seventh with a time of 9:47.97. The boys 800M run for Div. II-III had Fairfield junior Brandtson Duffie in fifth place with a time of 1:59.01.

The boys high jump event for Div. II-III had Hillsboro senior Britton Haines in 14th place with a jump of 5-08.00.

Also in the boys pole vault event for Div. II-III, Hillsboro sophomore Mark Gallimore was 23rd with a height of 11-06.00. In the boys triple jump event for Div. II-III, Hillsboro junior Quinn Conlon was 16th at 35-07.75.

The girls in the shot put event for Div. II-III Fairfield saw senior Blake Adams place 10th overall as Adams’ best throw was 36-03.75. She also threw 35-06.25 and 35-07.
