The Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders hosted the Eagles of Adams County Christian School in a three-game set Friday, Jan. 18, featuring junior varsity boys, varsity boys and varsity girls contests. The Crusaders won all three games: 31-16 in the junior varsity boys game; 45-12 in the varsity girls game; and 60-18 in the varsity boys game.

    The Fairfield Lions were back to their usual selves on Friday night as their quick start allowed them to set the tone of the game in which they never trailed, defending Grandle Gymnasium in a big way by a 86-53 score over the visiting and rival Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs.

    Thirty-three turnovers won’t do the team committing them any favors, and that was the case for the Fairfield Lady Lions Thursday night. The Lady Lions had no less than six turnovers in each quarter played — while battling foul trouble — against the Fayetteville Lady Rockets, leading to a 64-60 loss in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.
