Six members of the Miami University women's basketball team were named to the Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC Team. Taylor Boruff, Amani Freeman, Abbey Hoff, Kelly McLaughlin, Kenzie Schmitz and Peyton Scott were all honored.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

Scott, a Lynchburg-Clay graduate, is a sophomore majoring in Sports Leadership and Management. She earned Academic All-MAC honors with a 3.73 GPA.

As previously reported, Scott also was named second-team All-MAC last month.
