The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs earned their 12th win of the season Monday night, defeating the West Union Lady Dragons 66-34 to add to their Southern Hills Athletic Conference win total.

LCHS moves to 12-0 overall on the season, as they are now 8-0 in the SHAC, remaining undefeated in the conference.



In the win, the Lady Mustangs led 16-13 at the end of the first quarter, then after a 14-9 second frame in favor of the LCHS, Lynchburg-Clay led 30-22. The Lady Mustang dominated the third frame at 23-10 and capped off the fourth quarter with a 13-2 eight minute frame for the 32-point win.

The scoring leader was Peyton Scott with 25 points, who added 10 rebounds for a double-double. She also had eight assists, seven steals and two blocks. Scott was 6-of-7 from the free-throw line and made one 3-pointer, along with eight two-point field goals.

Zoe Fittro finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, one assist, four steals and one block.

Next in the scoring column was Serena Smith with eight points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Kaylee Lunsford totaled seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Other LCHS scoring included four points from Logan Binkley, as she also had six rebounds, one steal and one block. Chelsea Hart and Katie McLaughlin each scored two points. Hart added five rebounds and two blocks, and McLaughlin also totaled two rebounds in the win.

Serena Benney finished with two rebounds, one assist and two steals. Sam Kirby ended the game with three rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Next for LCHS is a home game on Thursday, Jan. 10 when they take on the North Adams Lady Green Devils.
