The Hillsboro Lady Indians traveled to Logan High School for the Division II SE District Sectional Finals Saturday as a No. 14 seed. They had to face the No. 3 seeded Warren Warriors, where HHS lost by a 50-17 score.

HHS trailed 17-6 at the end of the first quarter, where the Lady Indians had four points from Josie Hopkins and two points by Christine Page.

The Lady Indians were held to two points in the second quarter, scored by Gracie Dean, while Warren scored 13 points for a 30-8 halftime deficit for the Hillsboro squad.



The second half saw HHS have four points in the third frame by Karleigh Hopkins, and in their five-point fourth quarter, the Lady Indians had scoring from Karleigh Hopkins, Josie Hopkins and Page.

Warren totaled 15 points in the third frame for a 45-12 lead, and in the fourth quarter WHS added five points for the final 33-point win.

Abby Smith and Millie Ryan led Warren with 13 points each.

HHS had four players reach the scoring column with Karleigh Hopkins leading the way with six points, followed by Josie Hopkins with five points, Page with four points and Dean with two points.

Karleigh Hopkins led HHS with seven rebounds. Dean was the assists leader with two. Jaden Moberly, Sinai Roberts and Karleigh Hopkins each added one block, and Kayden Watson led HHS with three steals.

The Lady Indians end the 2019-20 season at 6-17 overall.
