  • Forced turnovers by Fayetteville result in Fairfield loss
    Friday, January 18, 2019 12:36 AM
Thirty-three turnovers won’t do the team committing them any favors, and that was the case for the Fairfield Lady Lions Thursday night. The Lady Lions had no less than six turnovers in each quarter played — while battling foul trouble — against the Fayetteville Lady Rockets, leading to a 64-60 loss in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.

    Thursday, January 17, 2019 10:14 AM
Tuesday night was an excellent night of high school basketball for the Hillsboro Indians boys basketball team, as it seemed from my view that it was the best game the team played up to this point of the schedule.

  • Balanced scoring leads Hillsboro Indians past Fairfield Lions
    Tuesday, January 15, 2019 10:55 PM
Balanced scoring and top-notch rebounding were the keys to success for the Hillsboro Indians on Tuesday night. Playing what might be their most complete game of the season, the Indians had a strong first quarter and never let up as they scored points in transition, and with power under the hoop with strong rebounding, for a 64-43 road non-conference win over Highland County counterpart Fairfield at Grandle Gymnasium.
