Lawrence James Tomer, 62, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at home.

He was born Sept. 20, 1958, in Cleveland, the son of Walter L. “Bud” and Elaine (Mumma) Minniear.

Lawrence was a 1978 graduate of Greenville High School in Maine. He worked in roofing and construction most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hunting arrowheads and Indian artifacts, wildlife and the outdoors.

He is survived by three daughters, Crystal (Scott) Sterling of Greenfield, Sarah (Tyler) Matthews of Bainbridge and Cindy Carr of Searsport, Maine; one son, Jeremiah Sova (Maria Barrera) of Bainbridge; 15 grandchildren; companion, Donna Parker; adopted mother, Annabelle Ames of Greenfield; stepmother, Carol Minniear of Columbus; two sisters, Karen (Bob) Renell of Columbus and Kathie Minniear of Rainsboro; three brothers, David (Lisa) Minniear of Rainsboro, Denny Minniear of Columbus and Ken (Jenny) Minniear of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Kay Tomer, on Dec. 28, 2012; two brothers, Harold Minniear, Thomas Minniear; and both biological parents.

Cremation will take place, and there will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
