Justin Drew Gabriel Wilson, 37, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020.

He was born April 27,1983 in Wilmington, the son of Lee Curtis and Hope Wilson Belle.

Justin was a member of the Carthaginian Full Gospel Church, located in New Vienna, with former pastor Rev. Garnette Merle Wilson McKee (grandmother). He was a 2001 graduate from Wilmington High School. He enjoyed playing and excelled at basketball during his career at Wilmington High School, receiving the MVP award his senior year. He also went on to play at Sinclair Community College. He later attended Central St. University, majoring in business administration. He needed 12 hours to complete his bachelor’s degree.

In 2017, he established and became owner of Legacy Boerboels in which he joined the Boerboels community and began to network with other Boerboel owners. He began buying and selling Boerboels and later began breeding. He was excited to have welcomed his first litter in September 2020. He enjoyed traveling, and he was an avid sports fan and attended many NFL, NBA and college events.

Justin is survived by his mother, Hope (Richard) Belle; his father, Lee (Renee) Curtis; four children, Gabriel Wilson, Josiah Wilson, Lennox Wilson and Gabrielle Jackson; five godchildren, Quinten Rollins, Malik Rollins, Garrett Scott, Brandon Birdsong Jr. and Taylor Birdsong; eight siblings, Ryan (Kayla) Curtis, Jamaal (Tiffany) Curtis, Joshua (Krystal) Jewett, Jasmine Belle, Khandi Rollins, Charles (Charmaine) Beard, Cherri Crafter, Ivy Beard and Darris Williams; grandfather, Richard C. Belle, Sr.; special friend, Shayla Craighead; a host of bonus brothers; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Justin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Forest E. Wilson, Jr., Henrietta Wilson, Charles Richard McKee and Rev. Garnette Merle Wilson McKee; paternal grandparents, John T. Curtis, Jr., Frances L. Curtis and Josephine L. Belle.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at the Fellowship of Praise Church, 8652 E. US-22, Clarksville, Ohio 45113. Funeral service will take place at noon following visitation. Minister Joshua Jewett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a trust set up for his sons. Further information will be provided.
