Joann Louise (Acton) Anderson, 92, passed away peacefully after a long illness Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born Feb. 7, 1930, in Madison Mills, the daughter of Jeff and Helen (Robinson) Acton.
Joann graduated from Edward Lee McClain High School in 1948, after which she enrolled in business school in Columbus, before Willard enticed her to come back to Buckskin Township to be his bride.

She was active in her church, formerly South Salem Presbyterian Church (where she and Willard were married) and now Buckskin Community Church. She made many friends over the years through the church, her card clubs, Farm Bureau, camping at the Ross County Fair each summer and other community activities.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Sandra Anderson (Mary Lynn Readey) of Dublin, Merilie (John) Larsen of Cincinnati and Michael (Mindy) Anderson of South Salem; six grandchildren, Timothy (Mariah) Larsen, Sandra (Dan) McGrath, Kelly Larsen, Joel (Natalie) Anderson, Alex (Kendra) Anderson and Eric Anderson; and 11 great-grandchildren, Lyla, Brinley, Jax, Evie, Duffy, Cooper, Silas, Abigail, Jack, Cora and Levi.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, A.J. Anderson; two siblings, Jean Rife and Robert Acton; and both parents.
