Jerome “Jerry” J. Piezer, 79, passed away April 14, 2021 at Hospice of Cincinnati.

He was born Aug. 5, 1941 in Cleveland.

Jerry served his country in the Navy from 1960-62. He worked at DeLuxe Check Printers for 25 years and then as a handyman in the Highland County area. He enjoyed woodworking and a love of the outdoors. Jerry was a man of faith and cherished his church family at St. Mary Catholic Church, as well as many friends. Jerry took pride in his roots and his home. “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24.) Jerry was devoted to his family.

He was preceded in death by precious daughter, Nicole; also his parents, Veronica and Henry Piezer.

He is survived by siblings, Thomas Piezer and Kathy Kasperski; also many loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves his wife of 58 years, Lillian; a son, Christopher and Mary Piezer; a daughter, Suzanne and& Steve Janasov. He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Amanda and Eric Torgerson, Samuel and Lauren Janasov, Matthew Piezer, Katie and Chad Coomes and Alexandra Janasov. Jerry adored his six great-grandchildren, Grayson and Brayden Piezer, Blaise and Jude Torgerson, and Charlie and Dean Janasov.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. April 20 following visitation, by Father Mike Paraniuk. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery.
