Gary Lee Huff
Gary Lee Huff, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.
He was born Jan. 10, 1953 in Hindman, Ky., the son of Phyllis (Barker) Huff and the late Carl Huff, Jr. He later moved to Ohio as a young child with his family.
Gary was a graduate of Fairborn Baker High School and retired from Wright-Patterson AFB after 39 years of service. Gary had a passion for fishing, hunting, Vegas and classic cars. Like his father, he also had a great love for animals and rescued several over the years that were dear to his heart.
In addition to his wife Pamela and children Jennifer (Brian) Smyers of Lebanon, Jessica (Andrew) Saltzman of Lebanon and Zachary Huff of Dayton, Gary leaves behind his mother, Phylis Huff of Hillsboro; brother, Michael Huff of Hillsboro; sister, Carla (George) Kelley of Stevinson, Calif.; stepson, Robbie Merkle of Dayton; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Brendan, Ayden, Blake, Madelyn, Xavier and Brielle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be Friday, April 16 at noon at the Thompson Funeral Home.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, April 16 from 11 a.m. until time of services. Inurnment will follow immediately at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Humane Society or Ohio's Hospice of Warren and Butler County.
