Fred Henry Pence, Jr., 73, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home.

He was born Feb. 17, 1946 in Hamilton, the son of the late Fred Henry and Artie Kin Pence.

Mr. Pence was a plumber and repairman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two children, Shannon Pence and Fred A. Pence of Blanchester; two grandchildren, James and Andrea Kuhnell; one brother, Roy (Joann) Pence of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sons, Jesse Lee and John Marshall Pence; four sisters, Betty Pence, Jean Long, Lou Craig and Garnett Clust; and one brother, Earl Pence.

Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:45 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at the Dayton National Cemetery. There is no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
