Debora K. “Debbie” Duff, 64, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.

She was born in Wilmington on July 1, 1955, the daughter of the late Carl Ayres and Doris Jean (Bloom) Ayres.

Debbie graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1973, studied at Eastern Kentucky University, worked for 10 years at the Hillsboro K-Mart and was a member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Jerry Duff, whom she married on Aug. 13, 1977; two sons, Brian (April) Duff of Hillsboro and Kristopher Duff of Williston, N.D.; two daughters, Lauren Elizabeth (Garrett) Mullett of Greeley, Colo. and Katie (Todd) Thomas of Baton Rouge, La.; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Phillip (Tracey) Ayres of Hillsboro; uncles and aunts, Donald Ayres of Winchester, Ralph and Ruth Bloom of Hillsboro and Nancy Green of Hillsboro; several cousins; and a host of friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the New Market Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the church.
