Angela “Angie” Sue Bowen, 41, of Martinsville, passed away Oct. 16, 2020.

She was born Aug. 24, 1979 in Parma.

Angie is survived by her husband, Eddie Bowen, whom she married March 13, 2016. She was a beloved mother to Brittany Lilly, Jeffrey, Brandon and Cameron Zimmerman and a stepmother to Eddie Jr., Jason, Kurtis, Dairred and Nevaeh Bowen, and Peyton and Jayla Graham and a beloved grandmother to her pride and joy, Roman. She was the precious daughter of Anette (Pastor Keith) Perkins and Dale (Brenda) Lilly and had a forever-treasured sister, Kristina (Troy) LeFever. She was the favorite auntie to Chasity (Travis) Kubik, Kennedy, Chase, Noah and Brady; adored granddaughter of Lionel Dickerson and the late Goldie Dickerson and the late Bruce and Stella Lilly Horton; cherished cousin of Brian, Brandon, Nichole, Natalie, Andrew, Amber, Adam, Danielle, Jacob, Amanda, Jason and Luke; and dearest niece of Vicki (Dewey) Hagerman and Danny (Marilyn) Dickerson, Erma Hanes and the late Beverly McCandlis. She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eddie and Donna Bowen; a sister-in-law, Jessica (Matthew) Pyles and their son, Cameron Suffridge.

Angie was the ultimate football mom and a fierce fan of Jeffrey and Brandon, teammates on the East Clinton Astros. Angie encouraged her children to make goals and work hard to reach them – graduation was around the corner, and she was proud to be a senior parent. Her children were her world.  She loved and doted on her grandson, Roman Kai, and was so looking forward to welcoming her second grandchild due in the spring.

Angela was smart, thoughtful and talented, but most of all, she had an amazing servant’s heart. She would often pop in to prepare meals for her aging grandparents, especially her Mamaw Goldie, up until her death in June 2020. She loved a spotless house and could be found tidying up while visiting yours. Growing up, Angie and Krissy were best friends and partners in crime. As they grew into adults and started families of their own their children were inseparable with each sister becoming a second mother to nieces and nephews. Angie will be sorely missed by all who loved her and adored her.
