Alex Douglas Cox, 40, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. 

He was born April 29, 1981 in Washington Court House, the son of Albert Sr. and Deborah (Arwood) Cox.  

Alex had been a flooring installer for several years.

He is survived by his father, Albert Cox, Sr. of Clarksville; seven children, Katlynn (Morgan) Maple, Paige Cox and David Cox, all of Greenfield, Alexis Cox of Bainbridge, Aaron Cox of Greenfield, and Payton Cox and Aiden Cox, both of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Joseph Maple and Remi Kellough; a sister, Amanda (Heath Hinkley) Cox of Hillsboro; a brother, Albert Cox, Jr. of Clarksville; a niece, Ashley (Austin) Powell of Greenfield; and three nephews Jonathan Clouser of Bainbridge, Michael Ferguson of Peebles and Christopher (Kaylee) Ferguson of Hillsboro. 

Alex was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Cox. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory in Hillsboro is serving the family.
