For the past 22 years, SATH (Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped), a nonprofit organization that provides leisure time activities for children with disabilities, has been holding their annual auction in the Wharton Building at the Highland County Fairgrounds.

Due to construction at the fairgrounds, the 22nd Annual Charity Auction on May 15 at 10 a.m. will be held in the Multi-Purpose Building at the Highland County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro.

Hess Auction Co., LLC will be assisting SATH with the Auction. All proceeds will be used for children with special needs in Adams, Brown, Clinton, Fayette, Highland and surrounding counties.

“SATH has struggled to raise funds and hold fundraisers since the COVID-19 pandemic,” SATH executive director Linda Allen said. “We could really use your help.

“SATH appreciates your past support. We are in need of donations to help us with this fundraiser. Any items that you would like to contribute to this worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated.”

Please contact Allen at (937) 366-6657 to make arrangements to pick up your donation, or you can drop them off at the Fairgrounds on May 13-14 from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. or bring them the day of the auction.

The community is invited to come out for the day. The charity auction will begin at 10 a.m., and the SATH volunteers will be serving lunch.
