The Workforce & Business Development Program at the Community Action Committee of Pike County will be conducting a no-cost workshop, “Leadership Development: Coaching Employees,” Wednesday, Aug. 25 from 1-3 p.m. at the OhioMeansJobs Career Center, located at 941 Market Street, Piketon.

This workshop will review how to apply the “WHALE DONE” Coaching Process to performance conversations. The “WHALE DONE” Process is based upon the training materials by best-selling author, Ken Blanchard.

This process focuses on how to effectively build trust and honesty with employees when providing coaching feedback on their performance. The result is happier employees that feel respected, appreciated and trust their supervisors.

The workshop will be conducted by Adam Days, the BRN Assistant of the Workforce & Business Development Program.

During Days’ 10-year career as a district manager for Verizon Wireless, he was given the opportunity to learn this coaching process to use daily with his staff of over 20 employees. This process taught him how to build trust and honesty with his team members while providing them the impactful coaching feedback that affected their performance.

The “WHALE DONE” Coaching Process provides the opportunity to have effective conversations with each team member about his or her performance without the anxiety or fear of rejection.

Due to limited seating, registration is required. To register, please contact Days at adays@pikecac.org or (740) 289-2371.
