Senator Terry Johnson endorsed by ORP, Scioto County GOP
Sen. Terry Johnson
The Ohio Republican Party has announced Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) as their endorsed candidate for 2020 primary election.
Additionally, in late 2019, the Scioto County Republican Party also endorsed Johnson for election to Ohio’s 14th Senate District seat. The state and county parties overwhelmingly choose Johnson, who is also a practicing physician and retired Colonel from United States Armed Forces.
Senator Johnson offered the following statement:
“I am humbled and honored for the endorsement by the Scioto County Republican Party and the Ohio Republican Party. Throughout my public service, whether as county coroner, as a member of the military, as a physician, or as a legislator, I have led with one common theme: God, family, country. I will never waver on my conservative principles, and I will never stop working for the people of all five counties in this district every day. The residents of Adams, Brown, Clermont, Lawrence and Scioto counties can count on me to be their consistent conservative advocate in Columbus. My sincere thanks to the overwhelming support I have received from the great people of Ohio’s 14th District and from the leadership of our Ohio Republican Party.”
Dr. Johnson has also been endorsed for this and past elections by the Buckeye Firearms Association. Additionally, in previous elections, Dr. Johnson was endorsed by Ohio Right to Life for his 100% pro-life voting record, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and the NRA.
Sen. Terry A. Johnson, D.O., is a practicing physician, a medical educator, a retired military officer, former county coroner, former chairman of the Scioto County Republican Party, and recently concluded four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, bringing that service to a close at the end of 2018 due to term limits.
