An Ohio county commissioner entrusted with overseeing tax dollars has her own issues with paying taxes on time.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports (https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2019/03/13/stephanie-dumas-has-been-embroiled-in-litigation-delinquent-taxes/2862912002/) that Democrat Hamiltyon County commissioner Stephanie Summerow Dumas has been assessed at least $17,912 in liens since 2011 for income taxes.

The Enquirer cites records filed with the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.

According to the Hamilton County commissioner's office, Dumas has a 40-year history as a licensed social worker in the field of mental health. She opened her own company, Strategic Consulting. Dumas served the duties of vice-mayor for six years and mayor six years in Forest Park. She also served as the village manager of Lincoln Heights for four years. She was elected in 2018 to become a Hamilton County commissioner. She became the first African American woman commissioner in the history of the state of Ohio.
