The following incidents have been reported by the Hillsboro Police Department – Eric Daniels, Chief of Police.

January 14-15

Jacob Jones, 20, of Bainbridge was cited for expired tags.

Austin Hilterbran, 24, of Hillsboro was cited for reckless operation.

Charles Morgan, 28, of Hillsboro was cited for expired tags.

Joshua Blevins, 41, of Mason was arrested for bench warrant.

Dakota Holond, 24, of Hillsboro was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Erin Holsted, 43, of Hillsboro was cited for speed.

Mathew Davis, 25, of Hillsboro was cited for failure to yield.

Seth Berry, 24, of Hillsboro was cited for traffic control device.

On Jan. 15, at 3:21 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a two-car, non-injury crash on N. High Street. Alicia Shope, 45, of Hillsboro was traveling northbound on N. High and merged into the right turn lane, to make the turn at Fenner Ave. Joseph Anderson, 19, of Hillsboro, was traveling in the same direction and merging into the right turn lane. Anderson failed to see Shope as he was merging, striking the driver’s side back door on Shope’s 2014 Honda. No injuries were reported, both vehicles received minor damage.
