A Highland County grand jury returned indictments against nine individuals during their Feb. 5 session (January term).

Tyler Trent, 30, of Greenfield was charged on seven counts in three separate indictments. In the first indictment, Trent was charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony; one count of burglary, a third-degree felony; one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of grand theft, a third-degree felony. He was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, in a second indictment. In a third indictment, Trent was charged with one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony.



In two separate indictments, Terry Hester, 34, of Greenfield was charged on six counts. The first indictment charges Hester with the same five counts as Trent: one count of burglary, a second-degree felony; one count of burglary, a third-degree felony; one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of grand theft, a third-degree felony. In the second indictment, Hester was also charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

Trent and Hester were each indicted on charges of attempted burglary and tampering with evidence, both third-degree felonies, during the Jan. 8 grand jury session.

Trent also was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, by a grand jury Nov. 6.

Also during the Feb. 5 grand jury session, Taylor Jenkins, 23, of Greenfield, was charged with one count of burglary, a second-degree felony; one count of burglary, a third-degree felony; one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of grand theft, a third-degree felony.

Joshua Lynch, 33, of Mount Orab, was charged with two counts of breaking and entering, both fifth-degree felonies; theft, a first-degree misdemeanor; receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony; and another count of theft, a fifth-degree felony. In January, Lynch was also indicted on charges of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony; improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification.

Jeremiah E. Pitzer, 36, and Paula J. Pitzer, 42, both of Hillsboro, were each charged in a four-count indictment with illegal cultivation of marijuana, a third-degree felony; possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony; possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification.

Aaron R. Knisley, 31, of Greenfield, was charged with one count of patient abuse, a fourth-degree felony.

Christopher Holt, 31, of Greenfield, was charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

Brandon Greene, 32, of Greenfield, was charged with count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.
