Ohio is developing its deployment plan as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) makes a historic investment in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure throughout the nation. The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program enacted with the BIL will establish a nationwide network of EV chargers that support access and reliability for all users.

Ohio will receive over $100 million across the next five years for Direct Current (DC) Fast chargers to be installed along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors. Working with a broad coalition of stakeholders and partners, DriveOhio and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) are developing a statewide EV strategy to unlock federal NEVI Formula Program funds.

The draft Ohio NEVI Program plan is available for review and public comment on the DriveOhio website: Ohio Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan.

Public stakeholders can also review and submit comments about candidate charging locations that comply with the NEVI guidelines: Candidate EV Charging Locations.

Additionally, DriveOhio will host regional meetings throughout July to further engage public stakeholders prior to submitting Ohio's plan Aug. 1.
