Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Interim Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced recently that two men were arrested for an alleged weapon offense in Portsmouth.

On Jan. 6 at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers with the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, along with members of Portsmouth P.D. Swat and a Portsmouth P.D. K9, assisted the Portsmouth Municipal Court Probation Department with a visit of the apartment of probationer Stacy Ann Young, 44, of Portsmouth. Young also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest that had been issued by Portsmouth Municipal Court.



Young was apprehended, and during a search of her apartment, officers seized three handguns, over $4,000 cash, digital scales, approximately 12 grams of suspected crystal meth and 19 grams of an unknown powder.

Troy Samuels, 56, of Portsmouth, and Cory Demetrius Pullings, 42, of Dayton, were arrested and charged with having a weapon while under disability, a felony of the third degree. Rebecca Donnelle Dennison, 45, of Portsmouth was also arrested on an outstanding warrant that had been issued by Portsmouth Municipal Court. Three other individuals were present inside the apartment.

The case has been forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor's Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony charges. Additional individuals could be indicted in the case.
