    Samual N. Nye, 31, and Alex L. Hebb, 22, both of Washington C.H., were transported to the Fayette County Jail where they remain in custody. Nye and Hebb have been charged with Prohibitions Concerning Companion Animals, a first-degree misdemeanor. The penalty carries up to a six month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine.

    Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports for the week of Nov. 5-11, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received 287 911 calls, answered 133 requests for service, dispatched 145 fire and EMS runs, took 28 offense reports and investigated three traffic crashes.
