Kentucky woman sentenced to prison for role in Ohio drug trafficking conspiracy

Acting U.S. Attorney Michelle M. Baeppler announced that Rebecca Gilliam, 34, of Grayson, Ky., was sentenced recently by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey J. Helmick to five and a half years in prison after Gilliam pleaded guilty to her role in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and acetyl fentanyl in the Toledo area.

The Justice Department has filed a complaint under the False Claims Act against American Health Foundation (AHF), its affiliate AHF Management Corporation, and three affiliated nursing homes — Cheltenham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Cheltenham), The Sanctuary at Wilmington Place (Wilmington Place) and Samaritan Care Center and Villa (Samaritan) — for allegedly providing grossly substandard skilled nursing services between 2016 and 2018.

Keep Ohio Beautiful (KOB) has partnered with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Ohio Sea Grant and the Ohio Clean Marinas Program to provide a network of automated litter and debris removal devices across the Lake Erie region. The funding for installing and maintaining four devices, known as Seabins, came from several Keep America Beautiful grants.
