Highland County Fair week in the cattle barn for the Mowrystown FFA was amazing, as several winners and several banners were brought home. Two Mowrystown FFA members had an outstanding week within the ring.

Our first young lady is a first-year graduate of Whiteoak High School and has grown up in the barns. Allison Kiley has had a stellar year, to say the least, from snatching banners at the Ohio State Fair to winning in some local shows.

This year at the Highland County Fair, Kiley won Grand Champion Feeder Calf. She also won the County Born and Bred show and was first place in her showmanship class as well. Kiley and her family were very pleased with her placing and was super proud of all her hard work.

The next young man has always been an outstanding showman, and so has his brother. Sawyer Blair had a year to remember when he received his banner.

Blair won fifth overall feeder calf and first overall market heifer. This year, he finally had his hard work put to ease after earning a banner or two. Blair was also the 10th-place individual in the livestock judging at the fairgrounds.
