On Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16, the drama department of McClain High School will be presenting the beloved Christmas play, “A Christmas Carol.”

This is the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge (Griffin Foltz) and his transformation from a miserly and greedy old man into a loving, kindhearted soul, thanks to the visits of the Ghost of Christmas Past (Nathanael Newkirk), the Ghost of Christmas Present (Cody Borsini) and the Ghost of Christmas Future (Alex Roberts). Scrooge realizes the importance of human love and the importance of using your good fortune to benefit others.

Other main characters include Marley (Chance Lane), Bob Cratchit (Ronnie Houseman), Mrs. Cratchit (Mikayla Detty), Belinda (Carly Sims), Martha (Olivia Haines), Peter (Isaiah Eleyet) and Tiny Tim (Sarah Cloud). The cast is comprised of 50 McClain High School students who represent crucial times in the evolution of Scrooge.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. both evenings. Please come out and support the amazing students in the drama department and receive a gentle reminder of how we should treat others not only at Christmas, but throughout the year.
