Now through May 12, the Hillsboro FFA will be selling an assortment of flowers, vegetables, ferns, different types of hanging pots and assortment of planters.

The Hillsboro Greenhouse Management class plants, waters and cares for these plants when getting them ready for the sale. The students are learning the practices of growing healthy plants. The students are learning growing, planting, transplanting, fertilizing, pesticide, marketing and customer service.

The class is selling petunias, marigolds, snapdragons, geraniums and more. The greenhouse projects are mainly used for educational purposes, but any profit from the sales goes directly to greenhouse upkeep, purchases for the following year and FFA activities.

If you are interested in buying any flowers, contact the Greenhouse class at emcneal@hillsboro-indians.org, or call (937) 393-3485 ext. 1580. The address for the Hillsboro FFA Chapter Greenhouse is 550 US 62 South, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
