On Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, the Lynchburg-Clay FFA, LCHS Student Council and the LCMS Student Council will be hosting a benefit event for Gabe Allen, a freshman at LCHS.

Gabe was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on Jan. 31, 2018. He has completed almost two years of the three-and-a-half-year chemotherapy treatment plan. The family has continued to have ongoing costs due to the medicine he is receiving, along with transportation expenses to the treatment location.

The benefit will take place at the Lynchburg-Clay High School (6762 state Route 134 S., Lynchburg 45142) on Feb. 4 starting at 4 p.m. and will conclude at the end of halftime of the varsity game (approximately 8 p.m.) and will include dinner, the silent auction and raffle.

To help offset the expenses of the event, the Lynchburg-Clay FFA is accepting donations for the dinner along with silent auction and raffle items. The dinner will consist of: shredded chicken, pulled barbecue chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, salad, roll and a variety of homemade desserts.

“Gabe’s Fight Club” T-shirts will also be sold. The shirts will be orange with the black/white print colors. Businesses or individuals wishing to sponsor the shirts will have their name printed on the back of the shirt. Donations of $100 are being requested. Order forms for the T-shirts can be found on the school website at lynchclay.k12.oh.us. Sponsorship donations should be sent by Dec. 6.

If you or your organization would like to make a monetary donation or donate an item for the silent auction/raffle, please contact the FFA at (937) 364-2250 ext. 11209, (937) 205-1266 or email stacie.rhonemus@lclsd.org by Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, so the items can be advertised on the Facebook event page. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Lynchburg-Clay FFA, 6762 St. Rt. 134 S, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142. All proceeds will benefit Gabe’s fight against cancer.
