  • Greenfield eyeing possible pedestrian bridge on west end;

    A recently-applied-for grant could allow Greenfield to build a pedestrian bridge on the west end of town that would keep those on foot much safer. Greenfield has applied for $462,000 for a pedestrian bridge and sidewalks on the west side of town where there are no sidewalks.

    During a status hearing Wednesday morning in Highland County Common Pleas Court for a New Vienna man charged with murder, Judge Rocky Coss said that both of the defendant’s attorneys have withdrawn from the case and told the defendant that it seems “you’re the problem.”

  • New fishing pier installed at Rocky Fork Lake

    A new fishing pier is now open at Rocky Fork Lake according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. The project was made possible by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Whitetails Unlimited South Central Ohio Chapter (WTU), Ohio State Parks and Watercraft and the Division of Wildlife.
