NCB's Mary Alice Hartley recently presented a check for $2,500 to the Because He Lives Food Pantry in Lynchburg.

The food pantry opened in September 2011 and has been increasing its services to those in need of food in the Lynchburg-Clay School District area which encompasses parts of Highland, Clinton and Brown counties.

Located at 220 Washington Street in Lynchburg, the pantry is open from 9 a.m.-noon on Mondays and from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
