Two Lynchburg-Clay players were selected Division III All-Ohio on Tuesday by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association, as Peyton Scott and Zoe Fittro took their place among the best of the best from the state of Ohio.

In Division III, Lynchburg-Clay senior Peyton Scott was one of just 10 players selected to the first-team All-Ohio list. Scott — a 5-8 guard — averaged 26.4 points per game during the regular season and 11.1 rebounds per game for her double-double average.

During her senior season, Scott dominated the court by shooting 52 percent from the field and 29 percent from beyond the arc. The senior also shot 85 percent from the free-throw line, while averaging four steals per game and 5.4 assists per game this past season.

Including four tournament games this season — the Lady Mustangs reached the district finals — Scott averaged 27.4 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game for the 25 games played. During the four games played in the tournament, Scott averaged 32.5 points per game, scoring 130 points.

Also this season, Scott finished the season with 685 points scored and became the all-time leading scorer in Lynchburg-Clay basketball history (boys and girls) for a career with 2,202 points.

Scott also set the girls basketball individual game scoring record at LCHS this year with a 45-point game in the first round of the tournament against Portsmouth West. That was the same game she became the all-time leading scorer in LCHS history (boys/girls).

This postseason, Scott was also selected as the OPSWA SE District Division III Player of the Year, the District 14 Coaches Association Player of the Year and the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Scott is now a three-time All-Ohio selection, as she was selected to the third team as a sophomore and to the second team as a junior. Scott also ends her career as a four-time All-SHAC selection (two-time Player of the Year) and four-time District 14 Coaches Association All-District selection.

Fittro was selected as honorable mention All-Ohio as this is her first time making the list. Fittro played to a high level for the 2018-19 season and helped lead the Lady Mustangs to a 21-4 overall record on the season.

As a junior this past regular season, Fittro averaged 15.3 points per game and five rebounds per game in the 21 regular-season games. The junior also shot 39 percent from the field and 35 percent from the three-point line.

Besides shooting 77 percent from the free-throw line, Fittro also totaled 1.7 steals per game and 1.7 assists per game.

For the entire season (including the tournament), Fittro totaled 14.2 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game and scored a total of 356 points, giving her 756 points in her three-year career.

This season, Fittro was also selected as a member of the All-SHAC team, was third-team All-District on the District 14 Coaches Association and was selected second-team All-District by the OPSWA.
