Highland District Hospital, in partnership with Highland Health Providers, are pleased to announce plans to open Rocky Fork Medical Center in the spring of 2019 on North Shore Drive near North Beach Road.

Ground has officially been broken on the new 2,720-square-foot building that will offer a full-time, family medicine office practice.

Nurse Practitioners Pam Knisley and Marsha Mitchell, along with a full staff, will be open six days a week to accommodate new patients of all ages as well as existing patients.

Knisley, APRN-CNP, has been practicing at Highland Family Healthcare in Hillsboro for six years, and will continue seeing existing and new patients there until the new office opens.

Mitchell, APRN-CNP, has been practicing in southern Ohio for nine years, and currently teaches nursing.

The office will also have future radiology and lab draw capabilities for patient convenience.

Highland Health Providers (HHP) is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-A-Like, which focuses care on the medically underserved. The new Rocky Fork Lake location makes it more convenient for families southeast of Hillsboro to have access to medical care.

HHP currently has additional locations throughout Highland County, including Lynchburg, Greenfield and Hillsboro. Visit their website for more information www.hhproviders.org.

Highland District Hospital thanked Paint Township Trustees Randy Mustard, Steve Karnes and Corey Miller for their assistance.

In addition to serving as a Paint Township Trustee, Mustard has served on the Highland District Hospital Board of Governors since 2015.
