“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” These 10 words that start our minds and hearts into truth will take up all our thinking in this life. We can never get Genesis 1:1 fully comprehended. When we start a new year at the beginning of God’s Word, we once again try to better comprehend more truthfully what lies ahead of us.

So many folks have attempted to minimize God and His creation so that they can apparently move onward with their lives totally by themselves. The sinful nature of man is adamant to insist upon the human as being in control of everything. The advertisement to join up and “Be All You Can Be!” has quite a gravitational pull to our natural disbelief in God. Yet, we can choose it to be all for God.

He is so patient to wait for us! God wants the decision in each of our hearts and minds to be fully for Him. The heart of God yearns to have the very best decision to be made by each of our minds. He then desires to work into our hearts and lives more each day so that He can say to us the day we step unto His presence: “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

Being a servant has nothing to do with our demeaning and lowness of life. Jesus came to earth to be crucified in payment for our sin. Nothing at all is improper about realizing our absolutely overwhelming situation in the heartache of sin. Jesus came absolutely as a human to earth and yet was 100-percent sinless. He is the only one ever to have done so. Christ is God in the flesh. There could be nothing more full and complete accomplished by God in order for us to surrender completely every moment of the day to this truth.

For a person to desire miracles one after another to keep them happy is more selfish than it is spiritual. Enough has been accomplished by God for us to then surrender thankfully and yield our hearts and hopes completely to Him.

God’s great work of creating absolutely everything possible to consider in our lives is perfect. Genesis 1:31 records: “And God saw every thing that he had made, and behold, it was very good.” His complete work of creation needs no touch of humanity to make it, ridiculously, any better.

His marvelous work of offering salvation to each of us does require absolutely his prior work of creation. It would be a complete mistake for us to think that God and His Son stood alongside a number of others in the business of creating. Absolute Bible truth declares that only the Creator of all things could have the possibility of becoming the Savior of all us sinners.

To constantly upgrade the belief we have in Genesis 1:1 is not in any way ridiculous. This belief becomes the soil upon which our lives mature to believe the rest of what God puts into the King James Bible. Every page we can take in to our lives this year gives growth and development to then believe stronger and more fully.

Hebrews 11:3 verifies what can be our conviction, that “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Everywhere we can see, dig or think about being are all from God. In a major way, all is framed by His Word. This year, we need to honor, respect and to desire the Bible more than last year.

Please do not smugly qualify yourself above God and His Son Jesus. To do that would set you up for an eternal heartbreak, regret and punishment in the literal Hell. Hebrews 10:39 encourages to the saved Christian: “But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” There is not a one of us who does not need “the saving of the soul!” It is not difficult to lean over out of darkness from sin and to yield to the glory of God’s light in the truth.

Salvation, regeneration and the new admiration to put Christ first this year will do everything to start you on your destination to the eternal Heaven. The foundation above every possibility that is good is to then build daily upon what God says in His word. The Bible is not an old antique that we just keep around on the shelf to show respect to relatives who used to read it to themselves and their families. Actually, a bunch of it has come true, but a much more wonderful future is setting itself up to begin when God says “Go!” He has already declared “On your mark…” and then is waiting on everyone patiently but not forever, having said “Get set…”

No matter what age or ability we are in, the time is upon us to advance more fully than ever the Bible and promises of God. Have a renewal for 2020! Nothing better could step you more fully into the race set before. Study the Bible and pray to start your day. Commit your heart to the truth of it all being God’s creation. What you have in life starting this new year could be new also.

The home, the job, the school, the new child or any phase of life gives us the need to forsake all our doubts and to trust God’s Word. Let us resolve to believe more strongly that: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Hope to see you in the race toward God this year.
