Man creates life; then what?
 | If creation of life has ever been a choice, it has been that of the Almighty; at least that is what many of us believe. Despite the perfection of mathematics, and the wonders and dimensions of physics, there seems to be a sense that biology is different. It is more than the result of atoms in reaction with one another and somehow contains a divine spark, or the essence of life. No matter, because mortals have now made artificial life. | This cup's for you, too | Perhaps this is the logic that lawmakers in at least eight states are using who would require those receiving food stamps, unemployment benefits or welfare to submit to random drug testing. Put another way, if so many jobs require random drug tests these days, why not unearned government benefits?
