The Whiteoak Wildcats dropped a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game on Tuesday night, falling to the visiting North Adams Green Devils, 69-44.

Both the Wildcats (0-4, 1-9) and Green Devils had a close first quarter with a two-point differential on the scoreboard, as the visitors led 14-12 after the opening eight minutes. NAHS continued to keep the lead after a 21-12 second frame, leading to a halftime lead over the Wildcats, 35-24.

In the third quarter, the Green Devils (4-2, 8-5) outscored the Wildcats, 16-12, and in the fourth, NA won the frame at 18-8.



Trever Yeager led the Wildcats with 14 points, with nine points from the field. Also for the Wildcats, Traeten Hamilton totaled nine points, including making five free throws, while Hunter Ruckel finished with eight points, including making two 3-pointers in the second quarter.

Michael Crowe followed with seven points, and Atlee Carr finished with six.

Leading all scorers was North Adams’ Patrick England with 21 points, making five 3-pointers in the win over Whiteoak. Also in double figures for the Green Devils was Colt Shoemaker with 13 points.

In JV play, the Green Devils defeated the Wildcats, 42-35.

Next for the Wildcats is a game on Friday night when they host the Ripley Blue Jays.
