The Hillsboro Lady Indians lost on the road Saturday night, as they fell to the Goshen Lady Warriors by a 61-34 score in non-conference action.

The Lady Indians (1-4, 5-7) were led in scoring by Madi Marsh with 10 points. Marsh totaled one two-point field goal, two 3-pointers and the senior was 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Kaley Burns was next in scoring for HHS with five points, and Karleigh Hopkins finished with four points.



Also for the Lady Indians, Josie Hopkins and Riley Moberly each scored three points. Scoring two points each for HHS were Natalie Sullivan, Kayden Watson, Lana Grover and Christine Page. Scoring one point against Goshen was Delaney Eakins.

In the game, the Lady Indians trailed by a 10-5 score after the first quarter, followed by a 19-14 second frame where GHS won and took a halftime lead of 29-19.

The third frame saw HHS be outscored 16-5, and in the fourth, they were outscored by a 16-10 score.

Goshen was led by Paige Garr with 23 points, finishing with seven two-point baskets, two 3-pointers and she was 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.

For the game, GHS totaled 18 two-point baskets, five 3-pointers and they were 8-of-14 from the free-throw line.
