The Southern State Patriots gained their second win of the season against OSU-Mansfield, 110-83 this past week.

SSCC was led by Ryan Inman (Lynchburg-Clay), as he led all scorers with 29 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double.

Chase Denham, a new transfer from UC-Clermont ,was the second-leading scorer with 18 points for the Patriots.

"This was a team effort across the board," SSCC head coach Blake Kibler said. "That is one thing we always stress – five players as one, not one player against five. We also stress it's all about progress, and the guys are really buying into it. We have been playing with 5-6 players the majority of the season due to injuries and other things.

"So it was hard to play 40 minutes of basketball without getting gassed. We would always be right there, but again, it’s hard to finish when you have nothing left in the tank."

SSCC has added three new players to their program in Chase Denham (Blanchester), Matt Ison (East Clinton) and Jerrett Huff (East Clinton).

"They helped us out tremendously," Kibler said. "We are at the peak of our game right now as far as a team. We needed this win."

The Patriots will play Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Patriot Center. Then, SSCC will travel to North Carolina to play Mid-Atlantic and Apprentice School.
