The Hillsboro Lady Indians won for the third straight game on Saturday afternoon, this time controlling the pace and allowing very few points in the first half with a win over the visiting Batavia Lady Bulldogs by a 45-27 score.

    The Hillsboro swim teams hosted their first home meet against McClain at the Highland County YMCA on Tuesday, Dec. 5. In the boys competition, McClain beat Hillsboro 52-42, and the McClain girls defeated the Hillsboro girls with a score of 65-29.

    The third quarter was the difference for the Hillsboro Lady Indians. Actually, it was the final two minutes of that frame against the Jackson Ironladies that sent the Lady Indians from a one-point deficit all the way to a 22-point Frontier Athletic Conference victory Wednesday night for a 69-47 win.

    The Hillsboro Lady Indians opened Frontier Athletic Conference play Saturday, Dec. 2 but were unable to start their conference season with a win, falling to the Washington Lady Blue Lions, 72-26 at Washington Senior High School.
