Thelma I. “Tiny” Free-Holbert, 85, of Bainbridge passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Chillicothe.

She was born April 23, 1931 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late LeClede and Cora Anna Smith Hill.

Tiny was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis “Dewey” Free and John B. Holbert; her son, Mike Free; sister, Helen Andrew; and a stepdaughter, Jane Strausbaugh.

She is survived by her children, Judy (Max) Shoemaker, Debbie (Tom) Davis and Eddie (Kathy) Free; daughter-in-law, Trit Free; stepchildren, John Holbert, Joel (Cathi) Holbert, Jean (Bill) Whitehouse and Rob Holbert (Mistie); 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nieces, Cindy
Cordell and Ann Plymesser; and many friends.

She was a member of the Rainsboro Church of Christ, a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Paxton Life Squad and Sweet Adeline’s. She was a Cincinnati Reds fan and she liked doing puzzles and fishing.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Bainbridge Church of Christ, with Sean Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with Tiny’s family on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the church.
