Rodney Allen Johnson, 71, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018.

He was born July 12, 1946 in Ross County, the son of the late Lloyd and Ruth Demint Johnson.

Allen served his country in Vietnam and eventually retired from Horizon Telephone Company. He lived a life rich in friendship and fellowship in God, a kind compassionate spirit, his family and his community, and God sustained his generous soul.

On Dec. 20, 1969, he married the former Linda C. Stultz, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Angela Sublett; grandchildren, Hannah and Clay Pinkerton and Emily and Isaiah Sublett; sisters, Sue (Willard) Kellough and Marsha (Doug) Wright; brothers, Frank (Shirley) Johnson, Mike (June) Johnson, Ken (Pam) Johnson and Greg (Sherry) Johnson; sister-in-law, Lori (Rick) Blissenbach; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many dear friends.

Allen was preceded in death by sisters, Pam Fields and Juanita Lowe; and his father- and mother-in-law, John and Charlotte Stultz.

Services will be held in Allen’s home church, Bainbridge Assembly of God, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Allen’s family from noon until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
