Kevin Fay DeHaas II, 27, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at his home. 

He was born Aug. 15, 1989 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Kevin Fay and Mina (Bradford) DeHaas. 

He loved fishing and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan. 

He is survived by his wife, Tara (Lind) DeHaas, whom he married on May 18, 2016 in Hillsboro. He is also survived by two daughters, Kionna and Kailee Lind; a daughter on the way, Aleah Grace DeHaas; paternal grandmother, Joann Frost DeHaas; maternal grandmother, Linda Butler; his mother-in-law, Margie Lind; his father-in-law, Duane Lind; a brother-in-law, Shane (Tiffany) Lind; two nephews, Brantlee and Jagger Lind; a special aunt, Renee “NeNe” (Gary) Breeden; two additional aunts, Marian (Steven) Alfoldy and Michele (Mark) Castro; two uncles, Lawrence (Brinda) Bradford and Lowell Bradford; two great-aunts, Sandy King and Mary Jo Frost; numerous cousins; as well as special friends, Ryan Reid, Jesse Waugh, Josh Creech, Jeramy Moore and Kyle Edison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Norman DeHaas. 

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Mark Boyd will officiate. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to encourage those friends and family planning to attend to wear Reds or Bengals attire in Kevin’s honor. Burial at the Dunn’s Chapel Cemetery will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
