Eltie Lavonne Wical, 81, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Continental Manor in Blanchester.

She was born March 27, 1935, in Good Hope, the daughter of the late Harold Roosa and Esther and Clarence Porter.

She is survived by three children, Karen Sword of Leesburg, Leonard (Michael) Sword of St. Helens, Ore. and David (Becky) Wical of Midland; two grandchildren, Joseph Bromeland of Minnesota and Clayton David Wical of Midland; three step-grandchildren, Alexis, Makayla, and Samantha Culbreth; a sister, Kitty (Tom) Whitaker of Xenia; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Roosa of Wilmington; a brother-in-law, Raymond Turner of New Vienna, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Wical; a brother, John Roosa; and two sisters, Rene Dowler and Barbara Jean Turner.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family encourages memorial contributions to the Community Care Hospice, P.O.
