Betty Jane Kerns, 90, of Wilmington, formerly of Leesburg, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Continental Manor in Blanchester.

She was born April 23, 1926 in Highland, the daughter of the late Raymond and Veona Price Kibler.

Mrs. Kerns had worked for many years for the Highland County Clerk of Courts. She was a 60-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 441 and a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children, Linda Kay Rulon of Wilmington, Tom (Leslie) Rhoades of Pickerington, Keith (Skeeter) Rhoades of Leesburg and Jack (Pam Barrett) Kerns of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Kerns, on Feb. 25, 2004; and one daughter, Gail Jarmusch.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family on Monday, April 24 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg. Pastor John Fitzgerald will officiate. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Order of Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
