The Hillsboro and Greenfield Rotary Clubs will host the 45th annual Ernie Blankenship Memorial Radio-Telethon, for the benefit of the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, on Wednesday, March 29 from 6-9 p.m.

This year’s telethon will be held at the main US Bank branch in Hillsboro and at McClain High School.

The telethon will also be broadcast on WSRW 1590 AM, WVNU FM 97.5 and Time Warner Cable Community Access Channels.

The two clubs raised $105,866 in 2016, all of which is used by the Society to provide assistance and services to Highland County children and adults who have extraordinary expenses for necessary medical treatment, transportation, equipment and other health care devices.

The Highland County Society for Children and Adults provides health needs for disabled adults and children when no other help is available. Services available include transportation to other health facilities, home nursing supplies, medications, doctor bills, physical therapy, corrective shoes, orthopedic devices, hospital tests, respiratory supplies, equipment repair and equipment loan closet. Free items are also provided, such as walkers, canes, wheelchairs, commode chairs, lifts, lift chairs or elevated toilet seats. Anything that is needed will be considered.

Donations can be made in person or by mail to HCSCA, PO Box 258, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
