The exhibition “Painted Ground,” featuring mixed media sculpture and installation pieces by Missouri-based artist Jesse Ring, is on display in the Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College through March 16.

“I use haptic materials like ceramic because they are uniquely responsive, allowing them to be formed with nuance from an accurate depiction to an expressive interpretation,” said Ring, a former adjunct instructor at UC’s College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning. “Materiality and the process of manipulation that are used to emphasize imbued narrative and poetic meaning in representational imagery.”
