The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory Wednesday, Feb. 7. Local school closings include: Hillsboro City Schools, Greenfield Schools, Lynchburg-Clay Schools, Fairfield Local, Bright Local and Hillsboro Christian Academy.

Mixed precipitation of snow and freezing rain is expected. The total snow accumulations are forecast from 1-3 inches for much of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

In addition, ice accumulations of one-tenth to two-tenths of an inch are expected.

"The ice will result in difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday," the National Weather Service said. "Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times Wednesday."

Wednesday – Snow, freezing rain and sleet in the morning, then a chance of snow in the afternoon. Total new snow accumulation around an inch. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch. Highs in the lower 30s. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

Thursday – Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 30s. Lows in the lower 20s.

Friday – Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 40s. Lows in the upper 20s.

Saturday – A chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 40s. Chance of rain 40 percent. Lows in the lower 30s.

Sunday – Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain in the morning, then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 40s. Lows in the lower 20s.
