Cold arctic air combined with breezy conditions this afternoon and tonight will cause wind chills to drop to readings between zero and 10-below zero at times, the National Weather Service reports.

Brown County is under a level one snow emergency Saturday.

Conditions will improve midday Sunday, but will get even colder late Sunday night, and these frigid conditions will likely last through Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Limit time outdoors and cover exposed skin. Check on the elderly, and be sure to make arrangements for outdoor pets during this time of very cold weather.
