The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash involving a commercial motor vehicle that occurred on May 17 at approximately 10:50 a.m.

The crash occurred on S.R. 32 at the intersection of S.R. 41 in Meigs Township, Adams County.

A preliminary investigation reveals a gray 2016 Toyota Corolla eastbound on SR 32, operated by Lois A. Pertuset, 74, of Peebles, and a red 2001 Peterbilt semi westbound on SR 32, operated by Donald N. Dunlap Jr., 43, of Alkol, W.Va., struck at the intersection of SR 32 and SR 41.

The investigation at this time shows that the Pertuset failed to yield turning left from SR 32 eastbound to SR 41 northbound and was struck by Donald Dunlap Jr.

Peebles Fire and EMS were on scene, along with Adams County Coroner’s Office. Lois A. Pertuset was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Adams County Coroner’s Office and was transported to the Montgomery County Morgue.

The driver of the semi, Donald N. Dunlap, Jr, was not injured in the crash. Both drivers were wearing the installed safety belts. Speed and alcohol are not factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Georgetown Post.
