As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on a pair of bridge replacement projects in Highland County.

HIG-73-6.56 (PID: 93784) – It is proposed to replace the structure on state Route 73 that is located at the 6.56-mile marker, between T.R. 277A (Diven Road) and T.R. 276A (West Welcome Road), approximately one mile west of Hillsboro in Liberty Township. The existing structure is a single-span concrete bridge, and it will be replaced with a single-span, reinforced concrete deck on I-beams.

HIG-138-31.43 (PID: 93835) – It is proposed to replace the structure on state Route 138 that is located at the 6.56-mile marker, between T.R. 360A (McWilliams Road) and T.R. 1023 (Child Road), approximately one mile west of Greenfield in Madison Township.

No new right of way will be required for either project, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result; however, a closure of either route may be necessary to complete all or portions of the projects.
